A one-of-a-kind necklace centered around a 3.34 carat untreated natural black diamond, hand-strung with matte onyx and 18K yellow gold for a bold, graphic composition.
At the center of this one-of-a-kind necklace is a 3.34 carat pear-shaped rose-cut natural black diamond, measuring approximately 12.3 × 6.5mm. The diamond is untreated, with its natural black color and broad rose-cut facets giving the stone a distinctive presence.
Rather than treating the diamond as a traditional solitaire focal point, the necklace is composed as a complete object. Matte-finished onyx beads alternate with 18K yellow gold details in a repeating rhythm of two onyx beads followed by a gold ring, creating contrast through color, material and surface.
Six natural black diamond accents are set into the bail, adding a subtle detail that becomes apparent on closer inspection.
The necklace is hand-strung and completed in our San Luis Obispo studio, with a matte-finished 18K yellow gold lobster clasp.
The combination of untreated natural black diamond, matte onyx and matte yellow gold gives this piece its strong graphic character, while the rose-cut center stone introduces a quieter, faceted surface at the center of the composition.
