A luminous 0.98ct Australian crystal opal is framed by a partial halo of brilliant diamonds in matte 18K yellow gold. Our Coco necklace brings soft color, light, and an asymmetric modern setting to a one-of-a-kind stone.
At the center of the Coco necklace is a 0.98 carat Australian crystal opal, displaying shifting color within a luminous, translucent body. A partial halo of brilliant diamonds follows along the side of the stone, adding light without enclosing its natural form.
Crystal opal is known for its translucent to transparent body, allowing color to appear from within the stone rather than against a dark background. As the necklace moves, the opal reveals changing flashes of color from different angles.
The asymmetric diamond halo gives Coco a more open, contemporary composition than a traditional fully framed pendant. Matte 18K yellow gold provides a soft setting for the color of the opal and the brightness of the diamonds.
Coco is designed and made in our San Luis Obispo studio, with the setting developed around the individual proportions and character of the opal.
